What is Elysium?: Elysium is a smart-home AI platform built around The Butler — an AI agent that understands plain language and runs your home for you. Instead of tapping through apps, you talk to your home, and it reasons about what you want and acts.
What products make up Elysium?: Three surfaces work together: The Bar (the wall hub you speak to), The Butler (the AI agent that does the thinking and acting), and The Smart Mirror (an ambient glass surface). See how it works for the bigger picture.
How does it actually work?: You make a request by voice or chat; the AI agent interprets it, decides what to do across your devices, and carries it out — then tells you what it did. The full walkthrough is on How Elysium works.
Which smart-home devices does it work with?: Elysium speaks the open Matter standard over Wi-Fi and Thread, so it works with a broad, growing ecosystem of smart-home devices rather than locking you into one brand.
Is my data private?: Privacy is a first principle. Elysium is local-first — it runs on dedicated hardware in your home, and your everyday home data stays with you. Some optional capabilities can use a cloud assist, but the design goal is that your home works for you, not the other way around.
Does it keep working without the internet?: Core understanding and device control are designed to run on your own hardware, so the essentials keep working locally. An optional cloud assist can add extra capability when you want it and connectivity is available.
Can I just talk to it?: Yes — natural-language voice and chat are the primary way you interact. No rigid command syntax; you speak the way you would to a person.
