The Agent

Your house has an opinion now.

The Butler is the agent inside Elysium. It reasons about your home and picks the right action, and when you ask, it explains why. It ships in Sovereign mode and runs entirely on your hub. Hybrid, which lets each resident use a frontier cloud model, is a switch you choose.

What it does.

The Butler takes requests in plain language, picks the right tool and acts: “dim the lights and set the heating to 21” becomes two separate actions. It works in steps and can explain its plan. When it changes a light or the heating, it checks with your home whether the command was carried out before it calls the job done. Scenes and timed light sequences aren't checked yet.

State persists across turns, so you can ask a follow-up without restating context. Conversations are stored, so the thread survives a restart, and every step the Butler takes is recorded for you to read. Before it sends an email on your behalf, it waits for your approval in the app; a yes in the chat does not count. Reminders you set by voice are spoken in the room when they come due.

How it works.

Routing

Fast where it can be.

Plain light commands like “turn off the kitchen lights” go straight to the device, with no language model in the loop, and the Butler still says they're done only once your home reports that the command was carried out. Everything else goes to a language model: the hub's own in Sovereign mode, and in Hybrid the model each resident chooses, a cloud model or the hub's own. Requests spoken to the hub follow the choice of one resident, whoever speaks.

Reasoning

Built to be checked.

Every reasoning turn runs on our own agent runtime: each action passes a policy check, and when the Butler changes a light or the heating, it checks with your home whether the command was carried out and reads the device back before it calls the job done. For a colour change, the reading confirms only that the light is on. Scenes and timed light sequences aren't checked yet. Every step is recorded for you to read.

Sovereignty

Sovereign by default.

Out of the box the Butler runs in Sovereign mode, with every model on your hub and no cloud fallback, and the hub's self-test lets you check it. Switch to Hybrid for a frontier cloud model's reasoning; the app lists what Hybrid sends before you turn it on.

When it matters

Sees the moment. Calls for help.

The Butler doesn't wait to be asked. When something changes in the home, it acts — quietly, decisively, and stays present until the humans arrive.

Run it your way.

Elysium ships in Sovereign mode. The Butler's language model runs on the hub's own GPU: today that is Qwen3 14B in 4-bit AWQ, an open-weight model served by vLLM on the NVIDIA RTX 5090 reference hub, and a hub with different hardware picks the most capable proven model that fits it. Speech recognition and the voice run locally too. Want a frontier model's reasoning? Switch to Hybrid.
