Elysium Labs is a small team in Zürich, Switzerland, building Elysium, a home AI that runs on a hub inside the home. Its AI agent, The Butler, takes requests in plain language, by voice or chat, and carries them out across the home's Matter devices, such as lights and thermostats. It checks whether each light or heating command was carried out before it reports back. The hub ships in Sovereign mode: the language model, the household's memory, device control and sign-in run on the hub, so nothing it learns leaves the house, and owners can check that with its egress self-test. Owners can switch to Hybrid, where each resident can choose a cloud model, which receives the requests it answers, with their context. The product line is The Butler; The Bar, the device on the wall that you talk to; and The Smart Mirror, planned for 2027. In early access, Elysium runs as a hosted app in Cloud mode.
